Good Business! Elizabeth's Pizza (Hope Mills Rd.), Fayetteville, NC

This post is over a year overdue.  My wife and I were married 13 months ago, and due to the small size of our wedding party and guest list, we decided to have our reception at a local restaurant (Elizabeth's Pizza and Italian Restaurant) and just let everyone order what they want off of the menu, and have the parents pick up the tab. This plan worked out wonderfully.

However, there was a minor glitch in our wedding plans. The person who had committed to baking our wedding cakes for us backed out of the deal 48 hours before the wedding.  In a panic, my wife spoke to the manager at Elizabeth's (I believe her name was Rafaela), and gave her our requirements for a wedding cake. We wanted a vanilla cake, a chocolate cake, some other kind of cake, and a gluten-free cake for my mother-in-law. My wife told her what our wedding colors were, and let Rafaela run with it.

Here is what she produced: And man, was it yummy.

Yes, those are purple, chocolate-covered strawberries on there.

Four cakes, less than 48 hours notice, and at a fair price.

Elizabeth's Pizza, you are not only a Good Business, you are a GREAT business.

Thank you for making our wedding day a smooth and enjoyable day!

Subject Business: Koons Kia (auto dealership), Woodbridge, VA
Rating: Bad Business

After test-driving a vehicle at this dealership, the sales manager and another manager of this dealership were pushy about making a deal before we even stepped into the vehicle to take it for a drive. They have e-mailed us every day, called every day, left text messages, and have just overall been a real pain in the ass. Prices were also rather inflated. With business practices such as these, it's no wonder that this business acted very desparate to make a deal.

The first-line salesman we were dealing with, Daniel, was nice and not pushy. Too bad his superiors ruined a possible first-sale deal for him.

Koons Kia, you are officially a Bad Business.
